Matthew Denton

Matthew Denton lives in Vernon, Alabama, with his wife and they have three sons. He is active in his community, where he has served as a little league baseball coach and both an athletic booster club president and a band booster club president. He attends First Free Will Baptist Church in Vernon, and also participates in the men’s outdoor small group at Vibrant Church in Columbus. His oldest two sons are adults with families of their own, and his youngest son is a Sophomore at Auburn University. He has four grandchildren with one on the way. Matthew is retired from the Air Force Reserve with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant in 2015. His home base was Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, where he served his country for 25 years as a C-130H aircraft crew chief and participated in numerous exercises and deployments, including Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. He is currently employed with Vertex Aerospace at Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Mississippi, where he has worked for approximately 26 years. He enjoys all types of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, and golf. He values God and family first and then he leans on the Air Force core valves of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all you do.
